bip-rendering-photo-300x200This Thanksgiving, North Brooklynites have one more reason to be thankful.  On November 22nd, the city closed a deal with the owner of CitiStorage to purchase the 11-acre CitiStorage site on the Williamsburg waterfront for $160 million.  With this acquisition, New York City now controls the full footprint of the proposed Bushwick Inlet Park, promised since the 2005 rezoning of the Greenpoint-Williamsburg waterfront.   Read all about it in this NY Times story about the deal.  BIP, BIP, Hooray!
