by Heather Van De Mark on

City Parks Foundation is offering free tennis lessons for kids aged 6 to 16 this summer as part of their CityParks Tennis program presented by Chase. Through July 1 to August 8, CityParks Tennis will be holding free tennis lessons on Monday and Wednesday from 1:00 to 4:00pm at McCarren Park.

Lessons are offered at all skill levels. The program includes free beginner lessons, tournaments, leagues, excellence programs and special events. The program focuses on physical fitness while building self confidence, and is designed to make the sport of tennis freely available to those who want to learn the game in a fun, relaxed environment.

CityParks Tennis is open to New York City residents only. Registration takes place at each park during program hours. Questions? Contact Sports@CityParksFoundation.org.

As a lifelong tennis player, I cannot advocate enough for the game. Tennis is a great sport that not enough kids have the opportunity to play. Take advantage of these free classes!
