Bridging the Creek Survey: Newtown Creekby on
Green Shores NYC is doing a survey as part of their new initiative, Bridging the Creek (BTC). BTC is all about engaging neighbors and stakeholders on both sides of Newtown Creek to foster dialogue and collaborate on environmental stewardship. The first step of the BTC project is a community survey. Please take a few minutes and tell Green Shores NYC about your relationship with Newtown Creek! The purpose of the survey is to gauge the community’s views towards and knowledge of the creek. Survey results will be presented during our upcoming workshops this summer.
Green Shores NYC is “an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization. We work to ensure a greener, cleaner, more connected and accessible East River Waterfront in Queens, New York. Our aim is to enliven the eight miles of Astoria-Long Island City Waterfront from Newtown Creek to BoweryBay by caring and advocating for safe public parks, green spaces, street trees, waterways and a waterfront greenway.” Learn more about them on their website: Green Shores NYC.
Green Shores NYC is also hosting several FREE walking tours of Newtown Creek in June, visit the GWAPP calendar for details!
