GCEF’s $19.5 million deadline is Dec 18th–final applicant webinar on Friday

by Heather Van De Mark on

A quick reminder to the 11222 neighborhood (and McCarren Park) that the deadline for the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund (GCEF) grants is December 18th, a mere two weeks away! If you’re still working out the kinks of your application, don’t forget help is still available to you:

  • The GCEF has its final online applicant webinar on Friday, December 6th from 11:00am to 12:30pm. “This final online webinar will provide prospective applicants with a broad overview of the grant program, the online system, and elements of a successful application.” Click for webinar details and to register.
  • The GCEF has also put together two very helpful PDFs: Frequently Asked Questions and GCEF Tip Sheet.
  • If you have an idea but haven’t quite figured out how to put it together–check out the GCEF Networking Bulletin Board. Others have already shared their project ideas, while even more people are offering technical assistance. It’s like making a love connection, but with an environmental and financial twist!

But wait, there’s more! If you still have questions after attending the webinar, reading the PDFs and visiting the GCEF website, you can contact the GCEF directly! Their community liaison(s) are eagerly anticipating your phone calls and e-mails at 718-389-9044 ext. 15 and gcefund@northbrooklyn.org.

With all of this helpful information and assistance, it’s like they’re practically giving this money away! So get your applications in by Dec 18th and lets make Greenpoint greener.
