Listening Session for Newtown Barge Park Expansion and Box Street Park on October 30

As the Greenpoint waterfront moves into a new era that includes massive development, the wheels are also finally in motion for the neighborhood to receive some of the waterfront open space promised in the 2005 Rezoning. The NYC Parks, NYC Economic Development Corporation and Community Board 1 are inviting community members, elected officials, and stakeholder groups to a “listening session” to review the upcoming Newtown Barge Park and Box Street Park projects.
