We’re Giving Away 100 More Trees!!

by GWAPP on

Our spring tree giveaway in conjunction with New York Restoration Project (NYRP) and Town Square was such as success that we’ve decided to do it again! On November 2nd we’ll be partnering NYRP and North Brooklyn Farms to give away another 100 free trees in the beautiful surroundings of Havemeyer Park. To be eligible for a free tree, you must agree to:

  • Plant in one of the five boroughs
  • Keep trees properly watered and maintained.
  • NOT to plant your tree along streets, in city parks, in containers, terraces, balconies or on roofs

So get those rolling carts ready and save the date for November 2nd! Our pre-registration link will go up in the coming months and judging by our event earlier this year, you’ll want to register beforehand. All our trees went pretty quick, so get them while you can.

The Greenpoint Waterfront Association for Parks & Planning, Inc. ("GWAPP") is a not-for-profit group, 501(c)(3), comprised of individuals, community organizations, religious institutions, and concerned citizens from the Greenpoint-Williamsburg communities dedicated to the development of parks and public access on the Greenpoint waterfront.

I’m a responsible homeowner that would be most grateful for a tree for my backyard garden. Thank you for the greening of NYC.
