Want to help beautify the neighborhood by planting flowers? New Yorkers for Parks (NY4P) is donating up to 1,650 Daffodil bulbs to community groups or volunteers who plant them in public parks, tree beds or other outdoor public areas. All you have to do is register on their website and pick up the bulbs at the distribution location closest to you. A little more about the project from NY4P’s website:
Founded in 2001 as a living memorial to those lost on September 11th, The Daffodil Project has grown into one of the largest volunteer programs in the city’s history.
