At the Greenmarket: Bardwell’s Veal Shish Kabobs

This Saturday, we will be having a very special treat at the market. Consider Bardwell Farm will be demoing some of their delicious veal with us in the form of veal shish kabobs! We will be grilling around 10:15am. Be sure to come by for a sample and a recipe of Poul’s marinade.

Compost and textile drop off happens every Saturday from 8am – 2pm. Market is open until 3pm on Union Ave between Driggs and N. 12th Streets. For more details, visit the Greenmarket website.

Pamela Boyle

A native New Yorker, Pam Boyle spent most of her college and post-college years pursuing a career in translation. The Spanish language, plus a growing interest to learn more about farming, led her to a family-run farm in the mountains of Costa Rica where she worked and learned the basics of maintaing a small-scale sustainable farm. Once back in Brooklyn, she was eager to learn more about the local farming communities in the tri-state area and to try out some of the farming techniques in her rooftop vegetable garden. She is very excited to be working with Greenmarkets, spending her Saturdays at Grand Army Plaza with the farmers and helping the community gain access to fresh, local food.
