Guest chef, Katie Hoffman, at Saturday’s Greenmarket

This Saturday at Greenpoint/McCarren Park Greenmarket, we are excited to welcome guest chef, Katie Hoffman to market! She is a personal chef, caterer, and teaching chef who focuses on local and seasonal ingredients, and will be making two recipes for us to sample. The demo will last from around 10am – 12pm. Market is open Saturdays on Union between Driggs and N. 12th from 8am – 3pm. Compost and textiles until 2pm. Debit/credit, EBT, WIC and FMNO checks accepted. See you Saturday!

Pamela Boyle

A native New Yorker, Pam Boyle spent most of her college and post-college years pursuing a career in translation. The Spanish language, plus a growing interest to learn more about farming, led her to a family-run farm in the mountains of Costa Rica where she worked and learned the basics of maintaing a small-scale sustainable farm. Once back in Brooklyn, she was eager to learn more about the local farming communities in the tri-state area and to try out some of the farming techniques in her rooftop vegetable garden. She is very excited to be working with Greenmarkets, spending her Saturdays at Grand Army Plaza with the farmers and helping the community gain access to fresh, local food.
