Go Green Greenpoint! Festival POSTPONED UNTIL 5/18 DUE TO RAIN

Next Saturday it’s time for Greenpoint to Go Green! Town Square will be holding it’s Fourth Annual Go Green Greenpoint Festival at the Abate Playground in McCarren Park. GWAPP will be there giving away 100 FREE trees, courtesy of our good friends at the New York Restoration Project. There’s only a few trees left, so register now before they’re all gone! Details about the event are below:

Location: McCarren Park; Abate Playground (Driggs Avenue, Manhattan Avenue, & Lorimer Street)

  • 1st Brooklyn Science & Art Museum’s Pop-Up Exhibit! An intersection of science & art! You’ll just have to come and check it out for yourself!
  • Greencycle Swap! Clothes, shoes, bedding, toys, books, bicycles, electronics, computers, etc. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure! You do not need to drop off anything to take something. All remaining items are donated to Green Chip and the Vietnam Vets of America.
  • Riverkeeper Sweep cleanups! Stop by Riverkeeper’s HQ table at Go Green for cleanups in McCarren Park, Grand Ferry Park, & Java Street/India St.


    The Greenpoint Waterfront Association for Parks & Planning, Inc. ("GWAPP") is a not-for-profit group, 501(c)(3), comprised of individuals, community organizations, religious institutions, and concerned citizens from the Greenpoint-Williamsburg communities dedicated to the development of parks and public access on the Greenpoint waterfront.
