Get Outside: Enjoy a Park This Weekend!

by GWAPP on

With the weather in the 50s and full of sunshine this weekend, we encourage everyone to get outside! Run on the track, throw a ball in the park, ride the ferry, get your hands dirty at a community garden, take your dog to the dog run, pick up some compost, or enjoy lunch along the waterfront. We’re very lucky to have the open spaces that we do–McCarren Park, McGolrick Park, Transmitter Park, East River State Park, Bushwick Inlet Park, Newtown Barge Park, Java St. Garden, Franklin St. Garden, American Playground, Greenpoint Playground, India St. Pier, Newtown Creek Nature Walk and more–so be sure to enjoy them!

McGolrick Park is having their 2nd Annual Easter Egg hunt on Saturday starting at 11am. Not to be outdone, the new and cool Transmitter Park is having an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday starting at 10am (from Greenpointers). Speaking of eggs? Pick some up at the Greenpoint / McCarren Greenmarket that happens every Saturday from 8am to 3pm on Union Ave.
