Beginning Monday, March 4th, ExxonMobil will begin soil boring activities including taking samples and placing monitoring wells in Greenpoint as part of the consent agreement with NYS DEC’s Greenpoint Petroleum Remediation Project. The drilling sites are on Apollo, Morgan and Sutton Streets between Nassau and Meeker Avenues.

According to the letter handed out by Exxon Mobil, the work “should only take a couple of days, and after we are finished we will come back and return the sidewalks to their original or better condition. ”
