Tomorrow we will be featuring the amazing world of cabbage at the Info Tent, along with a demonstration on how to make sauerkraut. The demo will start at 10:30am, so swing by to see the process. It is also the second week of the Winter Warrior Challenge, so remember to check yourself off.
A native New Yorker, Pam Boyle spent most of her college and post-college years pursuing a career in translation. The Spanish language, plus a growing interest to learn more about farming, led her to a family-run farm in the mountains of Costa Rica where she worked and learned the basics of maintaing a small-scale sustainable farm. Once back in Brooklyn, she was eager to learn more about the local farming communities in the tri-state area and to try out some of the farming techniques in her rooftop vegetable garden. She is very excited to be working with Greenmarkets, spending her Saturdays at Grand Army Plaza with the farmers and helping the community gain access to fresh, local food.
