Take Your Tree to MulchFest 2013 — Jan 9 – 13

by GWAPP on

Not sure what to do with that drying Christmas tree that’s dropping needle all over your living room floor? Don’t worry, NYC Parks has you covered with MulchFest 2013!

There are two locations in North Brooklyn:

  1. McCarren Park (Driggs Avenue & Lorimer Street)
    On-site tree chipping.
Residents are encouraged to bring bags to pick up free mulch at this location.
    Jan. 12 and 13 between 10am to 2pm.
  2. McGolrick Park (Monitor Street & Driggs Avenue)
    Tree drop-off only.
    Jan. 7 – 13.

The NYC Department of Sanitation will also be conducting special curbside collections for mulching and recycling of Christmas trees from January 2 through January 19. View details about curbside collection.

Don’t forget to remove all the tinsel and ornaments and what not from your tree before dropping it off!
