Photos: Newtown Creek Alliances Turns Ten!

by GWAPP on

Last Wednesday, the Newtown Creek Alliance gathered at the Warsaw-Polish National Home to celebrate their tenth anniversary of restoring, renewing, and revitalizing the waters of Newtown Creek and to honor the memory of longtime Creek activist Bernie Ente. NCA was presented with a proclamation from the City Council, an award from Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez and the celebration was completed with a replica cake of the Creek! Check out photos of the event courtesy of neighborhood activist Laura Hoffman and Mitch Waxman, NCA’s resident historian.
