Raffle to Support Greenpoint Soup Kitchen

Our online and real-life neighbors at Greenpointers.com are holding a raffle to support the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. You can choose to have your donation go to New York Cares and/or the Greenpoint Soup Kitchen.

There are a lot of great prizes from neighborhood businesses and organizations like Milk & Roses, Cafe Grumpy, Newtown Creek Alliance, Paulie Gee’s and like two dozen others. There’s food, clothing, music, yoga classes, a bike and other great prizes to win.

Originally from Los Angeles, Ryan is a relatively new but very proud resident of Greenpoint. He was drawn to Greenpoint by the strong sense of community and history of local activism. Ryan can be found at North Brooklyn Farms, the urban farm at the Domino Sugar Factory, which he co-founded or working in the 61 Franklin Street Community Garden.
