The GWAPP website is a resource and forum for the North Brooklyn community. Here you will find a range of tools to help you find out more about what’s going on in Greenpoint/Williamsburg, share your information and activities and connect with like-minded residents and organizations. To learn more about the history of parks, open space and activism, check our Archive pages, where you’ll find narratives and a wealth of primary source materials documenting a number of key issues—like waterfront development and access—that have been important for this neighborhood. Our News and Issues posts will keep you up-to-date on current and ongoing challenges and community activism with intelligent and provocative blogs, a Community News section and a calendar of local events. On the Get Involved pages, you can dive in by volunteering; sharing your events, stories and news; or becoming a GWAPP Member Organization.

("GWAPP") is a not-for-profit group, 501(c)(3), comprised of individuals, community organizations, religious institutions, and concerned citizens from the Greenpoint-Williamsburg communities dedicated to the development of parks and public access on the Greenpoint waterfront.
